The Modbus Gateway doesn't have a Modbus (slave) address; it is not a Modbus slave but a gateway that 'translates' communication between a Modbus RTU Master and the slave(s) on the Airbus485 network.

It can therefore not be polled by the Modbus Master, it will only translate any read and/or write request from the Modbus Master and will pass it on to the appropriate Airbus485 node.

Slaves on the Airbus485 network can be either Airmaster controllers or Metacentre products or a mix of both.
